ABOUT ME
I have always loved crafting. My mom is an elementary school teacher and would bring home crafts her class was going to do and test them out on us kids. She taught me how to sew, paint, draw, cook, press flowers, bird watch, ski, garden, quilt, make cards (mostly thank you's), bead work, loom, and she coached my soccer team until I was 12! She's pretty much my hero, well her and my grandma.
I grew up in Idaho, so I love nature and all things outdoors! But moved around after I got married in 2007 to New York and Hawaii. I'm finally home again and loving the mountains
I came to CO+K to find Inspiration and Friendship!
I love doing swaps, hosting and helping other host.
So just let me know if you want to get together and do a swap <3

Today I finally got the necklace and the bracelet!!! THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH!!! I really loved everything
the fabric you used is so beautiful! I needed some color in my life hahaha
I really appreciate you sent everything again.. thanks a lot!! ^^
So sorry for the delay Pam! I feel so bad about it! >.<
by any chance... did you get a tracking number of the necklace?
I'm such a bad swap partner! I just rememberd I had to send you some stuff! Please send me your address to do so!
I never got the necklace... must have been lost in the post office by now
hope you can forgive my delay!
hugs!
Firstly both envelopes are so pretty!
The bag is amazing, I love it! Can I ask what you used that makes it kinda padded? It makes it keep the shape really well. And the pockets inside are cool too
Secondly, the doll! Wow it is cute! Pepper ran off with it when she saw it inside the bag haha. Although I'm sorry designing my bag was such a chore for you :/
Thank you for being my swap angel Pam! I'm one happy girl today now
karen
I'm so sorry... I still can't find some time to make something for our swap... I feel so bad
I'll send something as soon as I can... please believe hahaha
About the headband, the pattern is for a necklace... I changed it to a headband hahaha
here is the pattern:
http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/L10368.html?noImages=
This is the washcloth pattern I'm trying at the moment:
http://everydayhandmade.blogspot.com/2011/03/simple-lacy-look-dish-cloth.html
I'm only a couple rows in but its looking alright. Its made using double crochets (or trebles as we english crocheters call them). It is a rather open weave though and makes a flexible rather than dense material. I had to switch down 2 hook sizes, I'm using 4ply cotton as recommended and it was far too floppy on a 6mm hook. Its much better on a 4mm (although I've lost a inch and half in width, but I'm not bothered about that)and I think I could get away with a 3.5 or a 3 even. As I mentioned on the crochet slippers I think I might have quite loose tension, so you might not find the same.
Here's a couple other dish cloth patterns I've found all through ravellry:
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dish-cloth-crochet-ckc-dishcloths
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/bath-collection---vanilla-grit-stitch-washcloth
They are both on the lion brand website, which I think you have to sign up to view, but it is free. I haven't looked at them properly yet. I mostly just thought they were pretty : )
Also try the sugar n' cream website as I know they were sending a wash cloth pattern a week via e-mail in the summer and should have loads on the website for both knitting and crochet. I haven't tried them as I found them quite colour heavy and wanted something simplier.
Let me know how you get on.

Thanks for your comment on the slippers. Don't be afraid of the pattern it is much more straightforward than the finished item looks. Have a look at the blog and pattern, there really is a photo for every single step.
Still it might not be something to try when you have got the pressure of xmas present making hanging over you. But pm me if you try it and get stuck and I'll try and help you out.
I'm making crochet washcloths for my parents stockings at the moment. Its going well so far!

since you said in your felt project that you miss a snowy christmas (I don't know what that's like since over here we are in summer hehehe)... maybe you could make snow flakes like this: http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/L0115AD.html?noImages=
or this: http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/80970AD.html?noImages=
that could look cute in your home!
I am still waiting for your package, it may have gotten lost = We are having hectic issues with the post office at the moment.. I'll let you know if it arrives though..

I'm going to send a bit more than 3 items to you in the newbie vs. vet swap... just a head's up! I'm feeling very crafty.
I'm still waiting for another package which was sent 4 months ago as well.. I'll let you know as soon as I get it!

See you there!
alls I know is, not everyone is good or perfect at crocheting/knitting right away and it usually takes lots of practice and getting used to. but I have faith in you!
Aww that's so sweet of you! I'll PM you my address now =] If there's anything you would like in return then just let me know! I can send you one of the items on my Facebook page if you like anything! =]
My school thing is only next Friday, I'm hoping I sell lots of things though. Apart from that I haven't sold many things at all in the past few months, maybe 3 items. At the end of next month I will get PayPal though and set up my online shop! I can't wait!
It was nice to hear from you again!
So, I saw your comment on the Crochet Drawer Knobs about how you still don't know how to crochet.. I am super surprised >.< I saw your board post about wanting to learn how to crochet or knit like months ago and figured you did. lol. I recently have been trying to learn how to crochet and totally taught myself through videos on the internet. It's really awesome because there are soo many videos out there to look at. I have only learned how to make a slipknot(no big deal really >.<) and make a chain and do a single crochet stitch(I think that's what it's called). It's not much.. but I had to go through quite a few videos to really understand and make sure I was doing it correctly. But in the end, it was worth it and didn't take that much time at all. I have just been practicing that stitch and made a little mp3 holder out of my practice piece. haha. Well, I just wanted to say really.. that you should just get one thing of yarn and a hook and do a little of internet research. I first used google because I always turn to that first and it was the best. I went to different sites all about learning and videos teaching you. Youtube is okay but I always went to that when I just wanted to compare and make sure I was doing it the same as everyone else. Anyway, Do it! You so can and I'm sure you'll be really good at it when you learn the basics.
Good Luck!!! <333
take care!
It's one of my favourite sayings at the moment ;P
It's part of a new range I'm thinking of doing:
"Quote-lets" - like notelets, but funnier!
but perhaps they hadn't have that name during my time yet.LOL
they are reallly cute !!

Enjoyed your doll post, yesterday, too. ^_^
I mean, you can always under bake something but if it were to over bake you'd prob have to do it all over again :/ lol
I usually don't go to bed until really late if i'm doing stuff with clay at night :x lol but the next day I have alot more clay trinkets than I planned.. ends up being a total WIN. HA!
wellll, carry on my wayward son!

hey wish you much fun with the making of and have a nice crazy lazy sunday afternoon as well;-XD
I loved the mini cupcake!!! >w<
and I'm wearing the bracelet everyday! It's amazing!
Still I don't receive anything... In fact, I'm waiting for some things Essex Debs sent a while ago...
It doesn't surprise me, though. Usually things get held up in customs... Those people never work it seems. Once I ordered a CD from Amazon and it arrived like 2-3 months later than the estimated date. The funny thing was that I contacted Amazon because of the delay and they sent me another CD for free... And that one arrived first hahaha.
So I guess we have to keep on waiting
I'm so excited with the stuffed animal swap!! I didn't think so many people would join hahaha
i'm the biggest fan of the Tazo tea you sent me!! omg... I loved it so much!
I will try to find it around here... it's the best!
I saw on your list that you like postcards. I like to collect postcards too. I used to think it was a wierd thing of mine- I'm glad to see I'm not the only one! I also have a bit of a thing for flyers, particularly ones that promote clubs and bands, they also have such cool art and photos. x
selina
