Wow, I never would've thought of using microscope slides for jewelry! That's so clever! Happy

If you don't want to go to the expense of copper foil etc Memory Glass do snap in holders for glass. You can get the microscope slide size and inch square glass too. Plain and frosted.
If you are soldering you can put jump rings on and hang bits of bling off. This one is lovely!

The initial investment can cost a bit, but to me it wasn't too overly bad...It took me about a month to get all of the supplies together...my soldering iron was the most expensive tool..and that cost me about $35. The glass you can find very cheap (just watch for shipping prices)..a box of 72 microscope slides goes for about $2.95..the images I use are from a few different places..I browse antique malls, garage sales, I also buy digital sheets from Etsy or Ebay..and scrap booking paper is wonderful! I was buying my solder from my local stained glass store..but it was very expensive..I was spending about $20 per lb..I found the same exact solder (just always make sure it's lead-free) at Lowe's for about $7. A lb goes a long way...I'm still on the same spool I bought about 4 months ago. The copper tape will run you anywhere between 5-8 bucks..and then you just need some finding..jump rings..ball chain or regular chain...
