  Step 1

  Flatten the roll. Measure side D of the rectangle thus obtained and cut it into slices of width D/4

• 

  Step 2

  Start braiding the basic pattern by interlacing 4 rings according to the attached diagram

• 

  Step 3

  then continue braiding to make braided strings

• 

  Step 4

  and attach the strings to each other to compose surfaces

• 

  Step 5

  close the surface thus obtained to form a cylinder

• 

  Step 6

  tie the ends of the lower rings together with a string. These will be used to hold a cut bottom made out of cardboard

• 

  Step 7

  and voila you have made a basket
