Ballerina Box

Giving new life to an old make up container and a kinder joy toy
This project was something I'd been wanting to do for a while with this kinder joy doll I had. I had tried to make something like this before and failed, and I had been scared to try again.
I attempted this with the last kinder joy doll like this that I had.
I felt like a little kid again crafting the dress, making the tiny origami roses (seriously these are the smallest origami roses I've ever made), painting the costume and the doll.
This was a lot of fun, and it reminded me of "the Nutcracker" movie the Barbie franchise did in the early 2000s. I think that was the icing on the nostalgic cake.
