Delicious South African food =P
I was eating melkkos for dinner and realised that there are no South African food recipies on the site, so I decided to add one. "Melkkos" literally means "milk food" and is very yummy. This recipe serves about 4 people.

  • Step 1

Slowly heat the milk in a 4l or larger pot until it reaches boiling point. Don't leave it unnattended.

  • Step 2

Mix flour and salt and add the whole mixture at once to the milk. Beat with a whisk or mixer until small lumps have formed.

  • Step 3

Boil mixture over low heat until fully cooked (approx. 25 minutes), stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon to prevent it from burning.

  • Step 4

Dish up in a cereal bowl and add cinamon sugar to your liking. Enjoy =]

Cool! I may just try this! I don't usually eat/drink milk products, but that sounds yummy...
And you should put more South African recipes up!
