Mix a Cosmopolitan and Gin Basil Smash cocktail with X-Bar in Berlin, Germany.

How did you get started?

We opened the X-Bar in 1995. The X-Bar was the first cocktail bar in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg.

Where are you located?

You can find us in the Raumerstraße 17a in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg, near the Helmholtzplatz.

What are your specialities?

Our specialities are cocktails. We have more than 300 drinks on our menu, partially own creations. One of our extra specialities is a chocolate fountain, which everybody can order to their table. A reservation one day before is necessary. Another extra speciality is our "taste three". You can try three Cocktails at once in a small version. Another extra speciality is our dice game. You can dice the ingredients for your cocktail and either it's tasty or it's yucky - it's a game...

What's your personal favorite thing on the menu?

My personal favorite drink on the menu is the cocktail "Gorilla Milk". It is made of Cream, Bananas, Baileys, Kahlua and Rum. It is so tasty! This cocktail you only get at the X-Bar!

What's on the stereo?

We play a mixture of funk and soul, deep house and mainstream.

Where else should we visit in your area?

On the Helmholtzplatz and the nearby Kollwitzplatz are located many Bars and restaurants. If you have kids, on the Helmholtzplatz is a well-known indoor playground with a small cafe inside. On the Kollwitzplatz is the europe's largest bench.

Do you host any special events?

From time to time we organize the globetrotter party together with "meetup international activities Berlin". This event is for all international people in Berlin. Learning about different cultures, meeting new people, enjoying cocktails and practising languages is the aim of that party.

Is there anything else you'd like us to know?

We offer cocktail courses. You'll learn the handling with the shaker, the bottles and the other equipment. And you'll learn also many interesting theoretical things. At the and oft the course you'll mixe independently some cocktails.
