Whip this sweet toy up for the sweet baby in your life!
I've been in love with Waldorf inspired toys and gnomes, and I ran across one of these and I thought "I can make that!"
I don't remember where I seen it, but when I do I will post it so the original artist will get the credit.
It's basically 2 washclothes and some no-pill fleece for the hat.
This would make an easy (and cheap) gift for a new baby.
I think I might make one with a red hat and a green hat too!

Lay your piece of fleece around your little gnomes head and
place a pin so you know where to start sewing.
take it off the gnomes head.
I layed a piece of thread on the fleece so you can see how you
need to cut and sew your hat. (The thread is not really on the hat)

Turn hat right sides out and slip it on the gnomes head.
If it's too loose take it off and sew it a little smaller.
Put it on the gnomes head and sew it on with a whip stitch
    with regular sewing thread.

Sew on eyes with tan floss entering the needle from the back of the head
    just under the hat.
I did 2 little stitches for each eye and tied it off at the back of the head also.

Tie a bow around his neck and put a couple of stitches in close to the knot to secure the bow so the baby can't get it untied and your all done!
