A cute ruffle scarf w/ fringe
I absolutely love scarves...and ruffles! So why not put them together! I'd seen one of these scarves in the store recently (w/o the fringe), but didn't buy it. I decided to make my own!

You Will Need

Step 1Cut the t-shirt following Steps 1-3 in the picture.You should have two long pieces.

Step 2Line the two pieces together evenly and sew the edge at one end. You should have one very long piece.

Step 3Set your sewing machine at the highest tension in a straight stitch. The elastic thread should be in the bobbin and all purpose thread is on top. Start sewing about 3-5 inches from the top, depending on how long you want the fringe to be. Stop sewing about 3-5 inches from the bottom. You will shirr two lines on the right and left sides.

Step 4When you finish shirring, line up both ends.

Step 5Cut the ends into strips.

Step 6On one side, pull the strips down to create the fringe. Don't pull too hard!:)Take the strips, two at a time, and tie into a knot. Repeat on the opposite side.

Step 7Here's the finished product!
