Rock-a-bye baby
I received my grandmother's old glider rocker when I was pregnant to rock my son in when he's a baby. I was too pregnant to recover it then, but it sorely neeed it. I found some great gray twill for a steal of a price ($1.50 a yard) and picked up two yards. After taking apart the bottom upholstery and giving it a good wash I was able to use that as the pattern.

The top was not so easy, it didn't have a foam pad in it like I thought it would, but was just stuffed with cotton fill. It also had metal tufting which was impossible to pull apart. So I just threw it out and started all over again by taking measurments and determining how I wanted it to look. It still needs to be broken into a bit. But over all I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Now all I have left to do to get this chair looking like I'd like it to, is to stain it a darker color! But that's a project for another day.
