A quick and fun way to make A adressbook YOUR adressbook ;)
Well, I needed a new book for my adresses and phone numbers, but I guess you can do that with any book thing, such as a filofax or organizer, diary, blabla...

I know this is not the most precise tutorial, but I want you to make your own design instead of re-using mine. ;)

  • How to make a journal. Pimp Your Adress Book - Step 1
    Step 1

Get your lace or ribbon and place it vertical on your book cover, decide where you want it to be and fold the ends around the cover. Hotglue both ends ( with a little bit of pulling so it sits tight! )

    Step 2

Design whatever item you want to have on your cover. I decided that I wanted a cute skull with a bow on a flower thingy... ( I NEED to make this into a hair clip! <3 )

Hotglue your item on the cover. You could stop here.

    Step 3

If you want to attach a pen or pencil to the book, get your elastic and form a small loop ( smaller than the pen will be, of course! ) with one side slightly longer than the other. Like... uhm... so:
    .._
    _/_) ( ??? ^^ )

Hotglue the loop closed and then hotglue the device on the backside of the cover, with the shorter side of the elastic facing the cover. Know what I mean???

    Step 4

    Well, you're finished!

I love my outcome, I just guess it would be no good idea to carry this book around in a bag because the decoration might suffer. :P
I'm gonna make a matching organizer for next year and more stuff matching this design. <3

This is a great idea, I'm going to try it out on my organiser and maybe add pouches inside for paper slips and so forth!
