Yes, I got caught up in the hype. Haha, this is a Sweet Lolita Heart Headpiece, inspired by the upcoming holiday. :)

  • How to make a hairband / headband. A Sweet Lolita Valentine - Step 1
    Step 1

Get your heart-shaped cookie cutter or whatever it is that you can trace, and then trace it on the felt. Make two hearts.

After tracing, cut it up. Make sure to use the sides without the lines upside.

    Step 3

Make your bow from the the satin ribbon, make sure to use a thin one. Sew it on one of the hearts, actually it's up to you wherever you would like to put it. I put it on the upper middle section of the heart for symmetry.

Cut up a length of elastic, make sure it fits your head. Attach it to the back of the heart, and then attach the other felt heart, the side without the tracing line up.

Voila~ Now you have your heart headband. Actually, I wanted to make a brooch or something out of it, but i don't really wear a brooch so I made this instead. Get ready for your date and add this to glam up your style or pair it up with a lolita outfit. :)

Absolutely love it! So cute! Definitely gonna give it a go! Thanks for sharing! ^^ *Mwa!*

Sammi:
You have to sew the first cm or so, then grab how much you want to tuck in (i'd say maybe a third cm?), tuck that over the cm you just sewed on and sew into place. then continue, sew another cm normally, grab another 1/3 cm, tuck that over it and sew into place, etc. (:
Hope this helps!
