A bits and bobs bracelet
This was inspired by the birds of a feather and here, kitty bracelets in the book. I like the texture created by threading the macrame chain through the metal links. I found the bracelets in the book a little crowded so I only added one charm per link. I used a mixture of beads and buttons I had in the house and charms taken off other bracelets.

I also made a second similar bracelet in a silver and turquoise colour scheme. It had a turquoise macrame chain with raised picots, but forgot to take a photo of it before I gave it to a friend.

Hi Dani, before I started my macrame chain I tied the threads to a jumpring (this end is on the righthand side of the photo). Then I just made my macrame rope in the normal way. When I was finished before I'd trimmed the ends I attached the jumpring to the bracelet, then just looped the macrame chain in an out of the links in the bracelet. This should be fairly easy if you have a chain with pretty big links. Then I tied the end of the macrame chain to another jump ring and secured the knot with a bit of glue, (you can see in the photo that this end is a bit bigger). Then attached the jumpring to the bracelet. Hope that explains all!

How did you thread the macrame bracelet thru the chain. Many thanks.

I hope this makes sense. I threaded an eye pin through the top hole of the button and bent it back up on itself to just below the eye loop. Then I wrapped the end round the stem, just underneith the eye. If you can't follow, just say and I'll try and post a tute. x

I love this - how did you make the button charms?
