Vintage Look Gingham Apron

A half apron with gingham and lace
After getting inspiration from a vintage apron pattern, I created 2 aprons for gifts.
The first I made from black and red gingham with trims of lace, skull ribbon and mismatched buttons.
The second I made from pale blue gingham and pre gathered lace, with brodier anglaise for the sash.
This apron is fully lined.
I only gathered above the pockets and left the front flat - its more flattering that way.
The pattern I made is just a 1/4 circle, with long pieces cut for the gathered hem. The pockets? I made from tracing around my hand.
