  • Step 1

    first make the
    TEA SANDWICHES

    CUCUMBER SANDWICHES

After cutting off the crusts of the bread and cutting the bread into triangles or shapes, butter both sides of the bread.
Cut seedless cucumber (sold in gourmet supermarkets, always wrapped in cellophane) into very thin slices, and place between bread slices.
    Garnish if desired.
    TUNA SANDWICHES

Mix one can of tuna (drained) with tuna seasoning and enough mayonaise to make a thick spread.
Spread on prepared slices of bread. You may add thin slices of cucumber if desired along with garnish.
    SALMON SANDWICHES

Spread cream cheese on prepared slices of bread.
Place thin slices of smoked salmon (Nova is particularly good) between slices of bread.
    EGG SANDWICHES

Mix sectioned boiled egg and mayonnaise (or use store bought egg salad) and season as desired.
Spread on slices of prepared bread.
Add thin slices of cucumber if desired, along with garnish.

    WATERCRESS SANDWICHES

Spread cream cheese on prepared slices of bread.
Rinse and dry watercress and lay between slices of bread.
    Garnish if desired.

  • Step 2

    decorate your table

white lacey tablecloth, teacups out, cookies and sandwiches, candles and flowers

lay them out in a nice fashion

get a cd of nice relaxing music to play during the party

  • Step 3

once your guests arrive, brew your tea and settle down for some goodies

Lovely idea - I can see it in the garden in summer, sittingunder parasols and drinking iced tea...have you ever tried rose petal sandwiches? They are a victorian lady's delicate treat! Cut the crusts off thinly sliced, soft, white bread, use unsalted butter and place pink and red (washed) rose petals in between 2 slices, cut into fingers et voila another Victorian delicacy!
