from boring to fabulous!
Thrift store find make over. Georgia had a dress like a famous person day at school. She requested Taylor Swift. We headed to our favorite local thrift store and she picked out her boring outfit knowing we could make it fabulous! That we did.
She told me what she wanted, drew it out on paper her little design and I went to work. Turning it inside out and put a fitted shirt on top and just pinned it, and sewed. I recreated the bottom to slant. Used the bottom hem to sew gathered at the bottom of the jean skirt. I took the sleeves off and made little angel wings with them. I used scraps to make the little rose at the collar. Added ribbon to the skirt bottom.
We found a perfectly matching purple scarf, star clip on earrings we made into a necklace. Found over sized gold sunglasses for .50cents! Which she still totally rocks. All and all we got everything for $5, the whole outfit. minus the boots.
