  • Step 1

Once you have the stuff you need to dissolve the soda ash in hot water then soak the tee shirts in the water/soda ash mix for 15 minutes.

  • Step 2

After that wring the extra liquid out of the shirts and tye the shirt up.
You can use rubber bands or string if you don't have those but you need to tye it tight or it wont work.
You can find different tyeing patterns online. theres a bunch of different ways to tie the shirt and each way will make a different pattern.

  • Step 3

After you tie the shirt and are happy with how you think it will look you just squirt the dye on it in whatever way you want, you can leave white parts or cover the whole thing.

  • Step 4

After you are done putting the dye on put the shirt in a bag so that it wont dry out and leave it for 24 hours. When you wake up in the morning you can take the shirt out of the bag and rinse it for a bit, then untie the shirt and rinse the rest of the dye out.

You said you found different tye dyeing patterns online. What website gives you patterns because I looked but couldn't find anything except pictures of shirts I wish I could tye dye like. Especially an amazing ying-yang one!
