My sushi pillows!

Easy to make,
nice and cosy to have!

The foam rubber is a bit expensive, so make sure you have a good idea before buying this.

(I might make a big roll later, so that might come soon!)

  • How to make a shaped cushion. Sushi Pillows - Step 1
    Step 1

    Cut the foam rubber in the size you want the sushi(the rice) to be.

    I used 25 inch X 10 inch.

    Now cut the ´fake sheep fur´ fabric
    very precisely, ´cause this fabric is a bit expensive.

    Fold the fabric around the foam rubber like wrapping up a present. Attach this with pins.

    Then stitch this with needle and white thread.

    For the shrimp sushi,
    start with step 5

    For the tuna sushi,
    start with step 8

    For the egg sushi,
    start with step 12

    Finish the sushi at step 16

    The shrimp:

    Fold the orange fabric and make a pattern of a shrimp(only one side).
    Make this about the same size as the rice.
    Then cut the shrimp like this

    Now it will look like this

    Make this twice.

    Attach the two pieces of fabric(right sides in) to eachother with pins.
    And stitch this, but leave a small piece open.

    Now fold the shrimp inside out, and fill it with small pieces of foam or teddybear-filling.

    Finished!

    The tuna sushi:

    Cut the bordeaux red fabric like this:

    Stitch the sides(right sides in) like this(or with sewing machine)

    Now it will look like this

    Fold the (almost) tuna inside out and fill it with teddybear-filling.

    Stitch the open piece with red thread.

    Finished!

    The egg sushi:

    Cut the yellow fabric like this

    Now attach the 'ribon' to one side with pins, and stitch this.

    Stitch the other side on it, but leave a small gap.
    Turn the fabric inside out.

    Now stuff it with teddybear-filling or foam rubber.

    Stitch the last open gap.

    Finishing touch:

    Cut a ribbon out of the black fabric.
    About 3 inch X (long enough to be wrapped around the sushi)

    Fold the sides of the ribbon with pins and iron this.

    Now stitch the sides.

    Cover the rice+(egg, tuna, shrimp, or something else) with the black ribbon and sew this.

awh how cute :3 i have a bit of an odd obsession with sushi...just wish i could aquire a taste for it Happy ive really tried...but im pretty sure id like these Tongue im going to try to make myself some when i have the time
