i saw this on threadbanger and decided to give it a go...i think it came out pretty well for my first time shirring

  • How to sew a shirred dress. Shirred Dress - Step 1
    Step 1

    measure the width of your bust and the length that you would like the dress to be.
    cut out two rectangles with these measurements. remember that each piece must be able to go around your bust comfortably.

  • How to sew a shirred dress. Shirred Dress - Step 2
    Step 2

    connect both pieces on one end only and hem both edges.

  • Step 3

    using elastic thread, around 20 rows of shirring on one end...this is the time consuming part.

  • Step 4

    when you are finished the shirring, connect the the two sides to form the dress.
    pretty easy right?

turned out great...i havent tried it yet...i was gonna do it but i was afraid of how easily it can get pulled down and expose me...lol...maybe ill give it a try now that i see how pretty it will look...the color looks great on you btw.
