Scraps of leftover fabric can be added to a strip of lights to make the perfect decoration for any holiday.

  • How to make a garland. Scrappy Lighted Garland - Step 1
    Step 1

    Cut fabric pieces with pinking shears (this will keep it from fraying.) You will need pieces anywhere from 3/4 in to 1 1/2 in wide and 6 in to 7 in long.
    Optional: Fold the string of light is half before tying fabric on, it will make the garland lights thicker.

    Step 2

    Tie the scraps onto the garland, alternating colors or whatever pattern you desire.
