A simple fabric neck tie or hair tie you can make from that little strip of fabric you have left over at the end of a larger project!
After I made my skirt I had about 3 inches of fabric left, over two widths of my fabric. Why not make a hair tie or scarf instead of throwing it away?
Of course you can use two different fabrics, or sew fabric scraps together to make your pieces If you are super resourceful.

  • How to make a bandana. Scrap Fabric Simple Rockabilly Hair Tie Or Neck Tie - Step 1
    Step 1

Lay your two pieces on top of each other. I had cut mine from the hem of a skirt and they weren't exactly even.
Take the longer of the two (or if yours are even, just one of them) and cut it in half.

Lay these two pieces down, right sides together. With the unfinished end, you want to create a nice curve to finish.
Fold one layer in half and use something curved to cut around. I used a paper plate.

Fold it out and you should have a nice shape like this. Using this one piece as your new pattern, cut all four ends the same way.

Sew your back piece to your top piece, starting at the ends and working down. You'll want to sew with your bottom piece on top.
