Break the rules of Scrabble with this shirt
ok so, pretty much this shirt is a combination of one of my fave board games, and my love of having unique shirts.

  • How to make an embellished top. Scrabble Shirt - Step 1
    Step 1

Ok so this is fairly basic shirt to make but is so much fun and unique. Firstly gather all the game pieces from the Scrabble board, I got mine from a local thrift store for about 4 dollars. If my math is correct there should be 100 pieces. you can choose to use all of them but you dont have to.

now with the velcro strips, you can cut it into about 1cm squares. I just eye balled this one. the only thing that matters is that it is smaller than the game piece.

Now it's time to set up where you are going to place the velcro. It's good to place pieces on the sides to guide you. dont make it too close or else the pieces wont fit later on. you can sew the stips on by hand or sewing machine for extra support.

with the other side of the velcro, cut it as well and just glue it on the back side of the game piece.

You can add as much squares as you want. I chose to an 11 X 8 grid because it still looks good with out anything on it.

When you are happy with the placement. glue the velcro squares to the shirt.

So this is the finish product. one of the easiest shirts i have made by far and is so much fun.
