The bloodcurdling story of a merciless execution of the Romanov Imperial family back in 1918 continues to shock us today, almost a century later. Persistent rumors of a magical survival of Anastasia -- the youngest daughter of the doomed Tsar Nicholas II -- have been circulating, having been finally disproved in 2008. But styling this photo shoot, we pretended that she had managed to escape her fate after all!

Step 1SKIN
Moisturize skin with your favorite moisturizer. Apply liquid foundation all over, blending under the chin and towards the neck. Concealer where needed to cover up spots and darkness under the eyes. Pick up some red lipstick with your fingertips and warm it up on the back of your hand. Dab over the apples of your cheeks and blend in circular motion.

Step 2EYES
Eyeshadow Primer will help your eyeshadow adhere better and stay bright/crease-free for hours -- essential if you're planning to stay up dancing and celebrating the approaching of the new year all night! Sweep Diva magic dust all over the top lid. Darken the crease and outer corners with Medusa, bring the color around on the lower lid. For extra sparkle, pop some Mirror Mirror just under the lashes. Fill in waterline with a dark gray or black pencil. Glue glitter-adorned false lashes on top lid. Darken and thicken your brows with a dark brown pencil or brow cake.

Step 3LIPS
The look is anchored by a red, glossy pout. To achieve this look, line and fill in your lips with a red pencil. With a lip brush, work Retrofuturist into the lips. Blot. Repeat. You may apply it once more, directly from the bullet. Add a touch of clear gloss just to the center of the lower lip. VOILA!
