    first, cut up some lanyard string into tiny pieces

    until you have enough to cover the bottom of the saucepan.

    now, get the saucepan

    and cover it in tin foil.

    next, pour the lanyard pieces into the saucepan.

    now spread them out evenly accross the bottom of the saucepan. make sure there are no big holes or big piles of lanyard pieces.

    next, put it in the oven at 435 degrees for 10 minutes.

    after the 10 minutes are up take it out of the oven ( using the oven mits). then let it sit and cool off for about a minute.

    then take the newly created plastic disc out of the pan.

    the disc should look something like this. you can set the disc to the side for now.

    now take a bowl that is the size of the bowl you want to make,like this

    and wrap it in tin foil.

    now turn the bowl upsidedown on a pan of some sort. then set the plastic disc on top if the bowl.

    next put it in the oven at, yet again, 435 degrees

    then take it out once the plastic has melted down like this. that should take about 2-5 minutes.

    now, take the plastic bowl off of the bowl and set it in the bowl, like this, to cool off for about 3 minutes.

    then take the new plastic bowl out and enjoy it! i hope you enjoyed this project :)

I am sooooooooooo excited to make these-I had bought a ton of lanyard because they were practically giving it away....and you never know when you might need a ton of lanyard string.....
Always loved the bowls made of string/wool but I refuse to buy anymore craft supplies....

What is lanyard string where would you get it from?
I don't know wat scoobie strands are either? HUh? Confusion?!?!?

Scoobie strands are the same this as lanyards except scoobie strands are round and hollow and lanyards are flat on one side and curved on the other Happy

isnt the fume totally poisnous? i think there was a huge diskussion about the fumes that come out of these strings anyways, because they cause cancer. if you burn them, wont they come out even more? anyways... it looks super cute!
