A fab necklace using paua and beads
First of all, "Paua" is a georgous shell found in NZ, bu any sort of abalone can be used. I cut, shaped, sanded and buffed the paua myself, that is why it takes so long to make, and can be a little difficult. I then plated black nylon, adding a bugle bead as I go. The materials cost virtually nothing however to purchase a diamond drill set or similar can be rather costly.

Very elegant. I absolutely love the colours of paua shell.
