Easy to make.
Heat oven 375/190 degrees.
Rub the butter & flour until it resembles breadcrumbs.
Add the sugar.
Bring together to make a ball.
Press out to fill a tray (20cm x 20cm)
Bake blind for 5-10 mins.
Remove baking beans.
Spread the jam over the pastry.
Cream the butter & sugar together.
Mix in cherries, currants & ground almonds.
Spread the mixture over the jam.
Spread it out evenly.
Bake for 30 mins.
Sprinkle some sugar over the tray bake whilst still warm.
Allow to cool.
Cut & serve.
