Based on Owl Cushions by Cat Morley
Well this is my first try, and he is a bit rough around the edges, but I now have all my pattern templates cut out and I am ready to do more owls! Everyone will get owls for Christmas!!

later.... have now added a silky owl - didn't have any interfacing, so I zigzag stitched stuff around the edges and I quite like the effect - and when I cut out the feathers, I did it from the waistband of the trousers I used, so that they already had interfacing on them and won't fray...

Thanks Mimiko - the silk is left over from a pair of pyjamas - I'm determined now to try different textures - I'm gonna try a velvet owl and a cordouroy one! (Also a camouflage one for my hubby!) ... I am slowly filling the flat with owls though - can't stop!!
