    Chop up the onions and mushrooms.

That...isn't risotto. Not that it looks bad or anything, but, ...not remotely risotto. Risotto is a manner of cooking a particular type of rice (namely Arborio, at least outside Italy; I believe actually *in* Italy there are a couple that they use ahead of Arborio). It involves a starchy rice (this is literally the imperative of risotto, you can add lots of things to it [like mushrooms] but it *is* starchy rice), being cooked with broth, which is added in small increments over time and more is added as the last bit is absorbed. Parmigiano cheese is also generally involved. It ends up being very creamy, but no cream is actually added, and any Italian would scoff at the idea of actually putting cream into it (I've seen them leave comments on recipes where people did, heh).

Soooo anyway, this mushroom & onion thing sounds like it'd taste good, just, is under the wrong title. ;)
