Healthy vegan fruit seed oat and nut bars (:
I recently became vegan and realised that almost every cereal bar has dairy products in, sooo i came up with this recipe for my own, you can use any seeds, nuts or dried fruits you like, the ones listed are just what i like to use (: x

  • Step 1

in a saucepan over a low heat melt together the sugar, dairy free spread and honey

  • Step 2

next remove from the heat and stir in the oats, seeds, fruit and whatever you choose to add, it should be a thick dough like consistancey, if its too runny add more oats.

  • Step 3

pour the mixture into a lined baking tin and make sure its about 1.5-2cm thick

  • Step 4

bake in a preheated oven for around 15-20 mins (until golden brown on top) at 108 degrees

  • Step 5

remove from the oven, leave to cool and enjoy! these last for quite a few days in an air tight container and they also freeze

This looks delicious!
thanks for the share!

P.S i'm pretty sure that honey is one of the vegan products on debate and its really up to the person themselves whether they want to support insects as well as mammals etc.

Honey isn't vegan. Maybe replace it with maple syrup?
