Making your own crisps is great fun – but making your own Marmite crisps is magic.

You Will Need

  • Step 1

    HEAT A DEEP-FAT FRYER TO 190C. IN A SHALLOW DISH, MIX TOGETHER
    1 TABLESPOON OF VEGETABLE OIL AND 1 TABLESPOON OF MARMITE UNTIL YOU HAVE A PASTE. to make enough to share, PEEL 1 LARGE POTATO AND THEN USe a POTATO PEELER to PEEL OFF THIN ROUNDS TO MAKE THE CRISPS. RINSE AND PAT DRY TO REMOVE THE STARCH. PUT THE POTATO SLICES IN THE PASTE AND GET MESSY BY RUBBING THE GOO INTO THE POTATO SHAVINGS. Finally, DEEP-FRY FOR 3–4 MINUTES UNTIL DARK GOLDEN. DRAIN ON KITCHEN PAPER AND THEY WILL CRISP UP AS THEY COOL.
