Step 1Heat oven 180 degrees.
Place the fruit, butter & water in a pan.
Bring to a boil.
Simmer for 5 mins, set aside.

Step 2Stir together the flour, salt & Bicarb.
Stir in the sugar.

Step 3Pour the fruit, egg & malt into the flour.
Stir to combine.

Step 4Pour into a tin.
Bake for 35-45 mins until cooked through.
Leave in the tin for 10 mins.

Step 5Serve with butter.
