Clothes to wear for the end of the world.
I found this cute black and white long sleeved shirt at Goodwill the other day, and even though it was too big for me, I bought it anyway. Not only did I love the semi-sheer, disintegrating look of the fabric... it was 50% off.

After some thinking, I decided to cut off the arms and turn them into let warmers/boot covers and to use the rest of the fabric as a mini skirt. I found a hoodie I had planned on donating, and cut the bottom part off, the cotton ribbing was the perfect waistband for my skirt.

Also, cut about 3" off unevenly around the entire skirt, then pinned it all back together with safety pins, so there's a 1/2" or so gap all around. And finally, I decided to trim the bottom with some nice black double-layer lace ruffle that I had in my scraps drawer.

This might be the softest, most comfy skirt I have ever owned!
