Protection against bumping it around on the bus every day
I bought a Kobo eReader so I could read on my way to work and back every day (a 2 hour journey all together) without having to carry heavy hardcovers or delicate softcover books around with me. I carry a lot of stuff with me to work (purse things, lunch, shoes, etc) so my books would get pretty beat up in my bag. I knew when I got this eReader that it would get pretty beat up too and so i needed to make a case sturdy enough inside to protect it and soft enough on the outside to stop it from beating up my other stuff. And so this case happened :)

It consists of a grey removable sleeve with velcro that was supposed to be sewn in but i forgot lol. the inside has a layer of cardboard sewn onto the sheet of red felt. i cut up strips of bright and neon felt and sewed it directly to the red felt and cardboard. Then i folded it over and sewed up the sides. Voila!

The grey liner keeps the eReader's prevents the touch screen from potentially scratching on the cardboard and also keeps it snug inside the case, while still being able to get slid out when I want to read a book. There's a bit of space to keep the usb cord between the case and liner as well, which is really convenient for when i want to sync or charge it on other computers while i'm not home.
