Kansas City Wind Set

Knit Scarf Crochet Hat Set
My Great-Grandmother is from Kansas City, Missouri and wanted me to make a big heavy set that would stop the wind chills. She loves black and white. So I made her this set and she loved it. She is about 5"5 so it is really long on her just the way she wanted it.

I crocheted the hat and knit the scarf. I wanted the scarf and hat to be thick so I doubled the yarn for both. I also used the Seed stitch so the scarf would be a little stretchy.
