Embroidered Necklace

A bouquet for your neck
I made this as a christmas present for a friend a couple of years ago, when there was that trend for those big collar-style necklaces. The original design came from a motif book, but I changed a couple of the flowers and made it slightly smaller so that it was more wearable. Its pretty much all satin stitch on felt, so it has quite a solid texture. Its backed with denim, with a ribbon sandwiched between the two layers so that it tries behind the neck. It took me quite a long time to do but I was pleased with the end result.
