Durable & delightful
I'm working with middle schoolers this summer, and we needed an arts & crafts project that wasn't, well, lame. Through a little trial and error, we were able to come up with these fabulous accessories.

  • Step 1

First, I outlined my dollar bill on the piece of paper, leaving about a quarter inch border around all four sides. Move it over, and do this again, so that the two outlines match up along the long edge. You now have a square-ish shape that should comfortably fit two dollar bills side-by-side.

  • Step 2

Cut out the big square-ish outline, and tape one side completely with duct tape - one layer will suffice! Flip to other side and repeat.

  • How to make a duct tape wallet. Duct Tape Wallet! - Step 3
    Step 3

Fold the duct taped paper in half, so that a dollar bill will fit inside comfortably. Tape up the sides, leaving the top open (be a little pointless if you couldn't get to the money, right?)

  • How to make a duct tape wallet. Duct Tape Wallet! - Step 4
    Step 4

Because I was still bored, I added a bonus "hidden" pocket by outlining my library card (standard credit card size), duct taping that, and then attaching it to the right inside wall.

I also used Sharpies to decorate, but it fades/smears fairly quickly.

i make duct tape wallets and if you want to get more complicated you could use colored duct tape, or add a coin pouch by making a strip taller than the wallet and aligning it on one side, then take the overlap and bend it over the other side, holding it down with a strip, then when you need to open it you just need to pull up the strip

fyi sorry it is really hard to describe what i mean
