Snuggle Buddy
My son Johnny just turned two and my husband will be gone for a little over a year. I made this hoping it would help keep my husbands face familiar to him and so he could snuggle with him every night. Seeing him holding and kissing his doll makes me tear up a little :)
He has never been very impressed by stuffed animals, but he LOVES his daddy doll, so I think he makes the connection. I am not the best at sewing, so I kept it really simple.

Such a wonderful idea. In England some of the forces fathers recorded be time stories for their little ones before they were deployed. My dad saw active service and my husband is bomb disposal. Best wishes for you and your family and thank you for posting your project. I cried Happy
