A piece of copper and brass to form a nice metal contrast.
For the ring band project in my jewelry class. It was created by running a strip of hardened metal with the floral design over the copper in a rolling mill. Then I soldered a piece of brass under the copper. After some shaping and a lot of frustration with the solder joint to create the circle, I almost cried when the joint stuck (I was so happy).
