Bracelet of crown-caps with old comic pictures
I had seen difference version of crown-cups but i wanted some more,
I have seen something like this by crafty chica, so i thought i make a version of hers that i will share with you.

I still love glitters and cheap faux jewelry so keep you fingers cross if you don't like that, close your eyes.
If you like, you can draw your own pictures and use them as well. I like the romantic comics pictures so....

but the mean thing enjoy the project and have fun.

Hi again, i found this site, mayby you can use this for beatyfull romantic picts for this or a other craft project.:

  • Step 1

i don't drink beer, so i had to find my crown-caps of the street.
And have to wash them carefully with soap. Dry time is necessary, because they can rust.

  • How to make a bottle cap bracelet. Cheers! - Step 2
    Step 2

With a hamer a piece of old wood and a nail, you must make holes on each site of the crown cap.
So you have two holes in one cap opposite site.

Click on the picture and you see what i mean.

  • Step 3

file the sharp edges from the hole of.
make it clean of dirt, with a brush.

  • Step 4

You must choose a colour of paint or more.
    I have chosen three colours.
Before i use the colours i put some mod podge on the outside. Let it dry
Paint first the outside in the colour you like, maybay an other layer too when the first is dry.
Paint the inside with your fav colour. let it dry

  • Step 5

Varnish the paint or use nail polish.
I used nail polish in the hospital because i had not varnisch. They didn't like it. Very smelly. let it dry

Because its difficult to put later on the jumping rings. I

  • Step 6

Because its difficult to put later on the jumping rings. I make on both sides in the holes the jumping rings.

  • Step 7

Before i was started, i had choosen some romantic pictures of old comics. You can cut it out, but i don't like that, i have scanned the pictures and with a computer drawing program i have thosen the right measure. You can use too a copying machine .
Then print it. And let it dry if you has a inktjetprinter.!

  • Step 8

Before i cut out the pictures i tape the paper with clear tape. Do the same on the back of the paper.
    And cut the pictures out.

  • Step 9

put lots of glue in the caps and then glitters.
So you have a copying bulky layer in the cap of glitters. Mayby you must use a tiny stick to stir the stuf on..

    Boring... let it dry again.duh...!

  • Step 10

glue the pictures in the glitter layer.

guess what next...:-) let it dry.

  • Step 11

put on the outside with glue the acrylic rihestones

Connect the middle jumping rings on both jumping rings of the caps . Now you have get them toghether.

attention! You must pay attation on how they join togehter. I had a problem with that. So the caps must with all the pictures on one side.!

  • Step 12

But with the last jumping rings on each side of the chain you have made the closure on.

    your almost finished.

  • Step 13

Put in every cup a layer of clear plaster resine. and ....let it dry .

and you are finished, and be bautifull with your bracelet!

I wish there was an easier way to get holes in bottle caps. I got a bunch of cute ones years ago just gathering dust. Unfortunately even my leather punch can't get through. Happy

Leuk met die comic plaatjes en die nagellak is een slim alternatief voor vernis!
