  • Step 1

Combine in a mixing bowl all dry ingredients. Flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.

  • Step 2

Make sure the butter is cold, cut into cubes, and cut butter into the dough until mealy, and butter chunks are no bigger than peas.

  • Step 3

Mix in bacon, chives, and cheese.

  • Step 4

Fold in buttermilk and work together until the dough comes together. This will serve as both the bottom and tops to our biscuits.

  • Step 5

Divide the dough into two portions; divide each of those portions into 8 pieces.

  • Step 6

In a large muffin mold, with a paper liner, place divided dough into the bottom of each mold, create a small well in the center and crack egg into the well. Repeat this step 7 more times in each mold.

  • Step 7

With all the cups filled with dough, and eggs – flatten the remaining dough portions and gently place over the top of each biscuits.

  • Step 8

Bake at 375 for 16-20 min, or until the top is golden brown.
