This is an Irish fruit loaf.
It is traditional that you place a coin or ring inside.
If you get the piece with coin or ring it is good luck.

Step 1Soak the fruit in the tea overnight.

Step 2Heat the oven 180 degrees.
Mix the egg & sugar into the fruit.

Step 3Mix in the flour, mixed spice, cloves, baking powder & flour.
Stir to combine.

Step 4Pour into a tin.
Bake for 1 1/2 hrs, until cooked through.

Step 5Remove from the oven & brush the top with honey.
Allow to cool.

Step 6Slice & serve with butter.
