  • How to make an anklet. Belled Braclets Or Anklets - Step 1
    Step 1

You need to about two metres of string or wool. if your're using anything particaly thin you will need to cut a longer piece. At one end make a loop that can fit loosly around your finger. If you find this hard try tying it around a pencil. A simple double knot works fine.

    Step 2

Then put the loop made on your finger (because this is basicaly fingernitting)

    Step 3

Then using the big bit of the string loop one loop in front of the knoted loop.

    Step 4

Then pull the fist loop over the newer loop.

  • How to make an anklet. Belled Braclets Or Anklets - Step 5
    Step 5

Then pull the newer loop and tighten NOTE the first loop will still remain loose but when you repeat steps 3,4 and 5 that's finger knitting. (finger knitting is quite simular to french knitting)

  • How to make an anklet. Belled Braclets Or Anklets - Step 6
    Step 6

When you've fingernited about ten centermetres it's time to add on the bell. Thread the bell onto the string

    Step 7

Then just do normal finger knitting make a loop with the bell on it.and pull the old loop over the bell. tighten the stich and then make a new loop, pull the old loop with the bell on it over the new loop. And tighten.

  • How to make an anklet. Belled Braclets Or Anklets - Step 8
    Step 8

Then keep finger knitting. For my braclets I have five bells on them, with two and a half to three centermetres of finger knitting between each bell, and then about ten centermetres at each end

  • How to make an anklet. Belled Braclets Or Anklets - Step 9
    Step 9

To tye of the braclet/anklet take the loop of your finger (be carful not to pull the string, that unravels it).

  • How to make an anklet. Belled Braclets Or Anklets - Step 10
    Step 10

then thread the excess string in the loop and then loop the string around the loop at least twice.

  • How to make an anklet. Belled Braclets Or Anklets - Step 11
    Step 11

NOW you pull the string and tighten the loop and knot.

  • How to make an anklet. Belled Braclets Or Anklets - Step 12
    Step 12

    then your done.

I would just like to add that you can easly replace the bells with beads. Also if you want to do just plain fingernitting you don't have to cut a piece of string. You can just knit straight from the ball (like with normal knitting). I hope all twelve steps are showing now. Please tell me if they aren't.
