Juli from Just Pepperminty recreates the costume of Willy Wonka from Charlie & The Chocolate Factory for today's Halloween DIY The Look:

Ever since I was just a little girl, one of my very favorite movies has been Willy Wonka, his eccentric style is a great part of his personality and I think most all of us could agree that he played a part in making bow ties cool!

We head to Nottingham and learn how-to make an earring display and custom canvas shoes with Spinster's Emporium.

Rachel recreates the costume of Sherlock for this week's Halloween DIY The Look:

Sherlock Holmes enjoys maintaining a very sleek look. He has his moments with interesting costumes, but his fallback is always a jacket, nice pair of slacks and a well-tailored shirt. I included a project on how to tailor a shirt and pants and how to make a necktie. With the right fabric, these pieces could definitely mimic him. I also included tutorials for his intense curly hair, dewy skin, watch, and scarf. I added some elements relating to the series: maps, the United Kingdom, books, and science, which are some of his many passions. Overall, I love how it all goes together.

Berlin, Germany •

Berlin means freedom, creativity and inspiration for me. I appreciate that it's not a city of a fake smile, it can be hard and cold, but also beautiful. It can lead you far away from your point of view, but also take you home.

We meet the green fairy in this week's Cocktail Hour, as we experiment with a bottle of La Fée Absinthe Parisienne. A spirit loved by writers, poets and artists, it didn't take us long to be inspired with cocktail ideas.

We head to Wilmington, NC and go behind the scenes at The Cwafty Blog to tour RaChil's craft workshop:

I love how very home-made it is. Its my life goal to be able to make anything and everything so that fact that I have managed to construct a good portion of my own space makes me feel like I'm heading in the right direction with my goal. Even things I can't make yet, like the furniture, I've still tried to paint or refashion that I have some hand in them.

doeeyeddame recreates the kick-ass costume of Wonder Woman for today's Halloween DIY The Look:

Whether she is taking on an entire legion of enemies, or using her compassion and intelligence to work through a major conflict, Wonder Woman always maintains her calm attitude and impeccable style. I think what I love most about Wonder Woman's style is it's ability to be sexy, yet still extremely feminine, classy and powerful. Disguised as Diana Prince, she could easily take on the high fashion trends of today. But dressed in her classic American flag inspired crime fighting costume, she is unstoppable.

Sheri from Confessions of a Refashionista recreates the quirky and eccentric style of fashion designer, Betsey Johnson:

Betsey Johnson is an international treasure. Rocking the fashion industry since the 1960's, her whimsical wild child designs, endless creativity and natural talent have made her an icon.I discovered her fabulously fun style in the 90's and have been incorporating bits of her look into my outfits ever since. Mix up some hippie & rock chick with a healthy dose of funky blonde ballerina to give any ensemble Betsey Johnson flair!
