Discovering King's Cross

"With its recent transformation, King’s Cross station has re-emerged as one of london’s most iconic buildings. This is the story of how a once great station was brought back into contact with its city. With flaps to lift and an amazing interactive pop-up that brings the station to life, this book pays a well-deserved tribute to a marvellous piece of Britain’s architectural history."

Contest closes: November 15th

Congratulations to Britta J, Green Duck and Tiffany S.

I'm assuming this contest is not limited to only residents of the UK. If I could take a train from King's Cross to anywhere I wanted, this world or imaginary, I would have to choose Wonderland. During my first and only trip to London at fourteen years old, I purchased a boxed set of Alice In Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass. I also bought miniature tea sets at various antique shops whenever I could! I believe there is a train line that runs through Wonderland in the second book!
Otherwise, I would love to travel all across Europe, Greece and Italy to see more of the world.

Kings Cross to the States to visit my family....ahh wouldn't that be wonderful. I hate flying. And Kings Cross would be easier to get to then Heathrow.
to middle earth
...from kings cross to every Glastonbury now'n'then...please...
I'd like to go to New York to visit my older sister. Also my little brother would love this he's addicted to pop up books.
Hogwarts, Hogwarts, hoggy warty Hogwarts!
I'd love to time travel through a train from King's Cross. I would travel back to the past, to the counterculture in the 60's, the roaring 20's, to 17th century Europe for the arts. I would like to visit my favorite artists and composers. I would go back to the renaissance to explore the culture Happy
Candy Land
I would take a train to the moon, since it is my dream to go to space. If only Happy
I'd like to catch a train from Kings Cross to the 1920's, right to one of those huge Gatsby style parties and enjoy the Art deco, fashion and cars of the time. It would be really cool if you were sitting on the train and you could see time go backwards through all the different time periods!
I would take the train to Hogwarts. Unfortunately, due to my stubbornness, I only jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon after the Deathly Hallows part 2 came out, so I was pretty late. But I still became obsessed and fell in love with the story.
I will like to catch a train with Brunel on the first lines, in and out of London, and under the Thames through the first ever tunnel. Maybe on the Necroplis railway line too. I would wear my best bustle. Failing that to Cleethorpes to see my grandchildren
One ticket for the Hogwarts Express please.

Growing up reading Harry Potter in the US didn't stop me from hoping I got a letter with my ticket when I turned 11.
I'd like to catch a train to Hogwarts!
I'd like to catch a train from Kings Cross to Will Wonka's Chocolate Factory, where it would come out of a tunnel right into the edible sweet garden and I'd spend all day wandering around nibbling all the flowers Happy
