Bracelet of Chaos and Wander.
I did not have any beading wire, so I used some Stretch Magic elastic for the strands.

Next time I think I would like to use wire.

  • How to make a braided bead necklace. Using Up Small Bead/Junk Jewelry Recon. - Step 1
    Step 1

    You will need:
    two small/seed bead necklaces
    one small chain-like necklace
    (or just two design sets)

Start stringing the beads from one necklace to the elastic, or beading wire, or thin steel wire. Whatever.

Then, just keep beeding the second set of beads onto your medium.

When finished, try to spread out the sections. Take a look at them, if they're not equal in legnth-remove/add accordingly. Then measure how long you wish the bracelet to be. Bend each second in half for measuring.

This should make four equal length of two different bead designs on stretchy string.

    Step 4

Next you will start of section to section. Take the end of the stretchy string, tie two (2-4) knots onto a jump hoop. Slide the elastic back down a couple of beads if can.

When done with that end, cut an in. from the last bead, and do the same.

    Step 6

Use two different designed strands on two jumps. (They will share.)

You shoule have two of these shown.

    Step 7

The chain necklace, I only had enough for one strand. So I used a wire cutter to cut to length. I used smaller jumps to connect this to one of the bigger jumps holding two strands.

    Step 8

Add your clasp. I used a toggle.

Now, kind of move the strands around into their proper place.

This is when I added a little more character, and structure.

I cut a piece of wire, and used my round nose pliers to make one wrap around bend like shown. Then, placed my finding onto it.

Then wedge it onto the bracelet where you wish. Like so.

    Step 11

Between your fingers and using your round nose pliers, bend the other side down and around-leaving a little bit of room for all the strands underneath to run.

    Step 12

When getting the wire to lay down, use pliers to squeeze into place, and make tight. Push down.

Cut any extra wire with your wire cutters.

Note, be sure when using wire cutters, to cut the wire flat, and not jagged/sharp.

I think really thin wire could also be added the back of the metal decorations for added support.

    Step 13

When finished fiddling around with it-trying to get it sectioned-and equal-do the following:
-cut off extra elastic after tigthening one last time
-file off wire tips underneath the bracelet
-add a dab of glue/apoxy/something to the tips as well, and maybe add some heat and glue to the elastic knots for extra support (optional)
