  • How to make a trunk chest. Teasure Chest - Step 1
    Step 1

First you'll need to find a small box in the shape of of rectangle.(or if you want to be more creative a circle or any other shape) My box just happened to kind of look like the shape of a treasure chest already. I love these chocolates so empting the box wasnt so hard.:]

  • Step 2

You're going to want to take the sticker off the container and clean up the residue left over a bit. It doesnt have to be perfect.

    Step 3

After you have your container cleaned you're going to want to paint it to look like wood. I did a coat of dark brown as a base and let it set a bit. Next I added a sandy color to the still damp base coat to look like this :P I'm happy with the results. (if you want a more futurish treasure box you can make it look like steal by using greys)

    Step 4

I know this picture didnt turn out that good but you get the idea i hope. Just add a few straight lines to look like the planks of wood. I also added a few thin black swirls to give the wood a more gainy look.

    Step 5

Add some gold coloring to the corners and some for the gold dots to look like the bolts and a key lock and your all done :]
