  • How to paint an animal print nail. Spider Web Nails - Step 1
    Step 1

I always use a clear polish as a base coat, but it is not necessary.

Next paint your nail any color you want except black. In the video she used a red base and for a more "Spiderman" look, but I wanted a more Halloween one so I chose Sinful Colors in Courtney Orange that I picked up for Walgreens on sale for 99 cents. It is sort of like the poor gals Opi.

    Step 2

Draw a vertical line and a horizontal once one nail with the black nail art pen or a very thin brush with black nail polish. I picked up the pen off of Ebay for around $1.

    Step 3

Draw and X through the vertical and horizontal lines.

    Step 4

Sorry for the blurry pic; my camera doesn't handle closeups very well.

Draw slightly curved line in between each of the lines you have drawn to give it a spiderweb look.

I have to keep my nails shorter for work as I type quite a bit, so on most of my nails. If you have longer nails you could get in more lines for the webbing.

How does that nail art pen work for you? I'm looking around on Ebay and found a set of 24 colours of the same brand that you used in this tutorial (: But I'm not sure wether to get it or not..

This is cool. I've never seen nail art pens before so I might have a look out for one so I can have a go at this Happy
