Slovak Easter tradition- egg painting
Every year before Easter, my grandma melts the crayons and decorates some eggs. She always makes so many of them because she wants to give them to her friends and family. Last year my mother also tried it and you can see the results on the pictures. Eggs are decorated with typical slovak design which my grandma had used for years. Hope u like this tutorial :)

  • How to make a decorative egg. Slovak Hand Painted Easter Eggs - Step 1
    Step 1

First you have to wash the eggs and make them clean. Then take the pin and make a small hall on the both sides of the egg. Be careful and don't make the holes too big, but also not too small because the inside won't come out.

Now the tricky part. Take a bowl and the egg and blow strongly through one hole until the inside of the egg comes out. Now wash the egg again and let it dry.

Above the candle/burner melt the crayon of desired color and you can start decorating the eggs. You can search the Internet for some designs (sorry I don't have some, grandma does it without a pattern but I am sure you will find something nice), but just have fun and be creative ;)
