Hi, I followed the directions using brass wire. No problems getting the project done. It took about 45 minutes. I altered mine to have 2 bail wires twisted together, then I rounded them out with a nylon hammer on a ring mandrel, then flattened the bail wire with a chasing hammer to add some sparkle.
