Ruffle skirt
I made this skirt myself using: old vest top, fabric with one side already hemmed, sewing machine, sewing pins for the pin tuck ruffles.

I used the bottom part of the top to make the waist band as it already had a hem on it and I figured it'd take less time that way. I took in the vest top to make it smaller so it'd fit on my waist/hips where I wanted it to sit.

I put on the waist band part and after cutting and measuring my fabric I started pinning it on to the waist band in preparation for sewing.

To make the ruffles, as I pinned the fabric I made tiny little pleats around an inch or an inch and a half apart from each other and pinned them in place as I went along. I didn't bother doing it precisely as it didn't need to be.

With it all pinned in place I just sewed all around the 2 pieces of fabric with my sewing machine. It was pretty easy and only took around 5 minutes as I only had to sew in a straight line. The bottom hem was pre hemmed, so I didn't have to bother with that part. :)

Thanks both! My sister got me the fabric, I love how she's always buying/giving me scraps and stuff to make things out of. Happy
