  Step 1

  I have wonted to buy a red cardigan with some interesting details but then i founded this old one in my closet and renewed it :)

  So at the end you will need old (or new) cardigan and some fabric... cut the fabric in long stripes.. if you don't have enough to cut it long just do couple of short ones and just attach one to the other :) These days I love ruffles but not to much ruffles :) so i just fold my fabric as much i need it to be...

  Take some thread and attach the fabric to your cardigan

  Step 2

  Then i have used my sewing machine and red thread to sell the deal :) At the end i have covered to buttons with the same fabric...for this I used glue :) and attached them to the cardigan at the waist line :)

So you just have to cut a stripe of fabric that is like two times longer then the one you need ... stitch the stripe to the cardigan or what ever ..then fold it in lets say 2cm fold and stitch it again right there where you have folded it... you will have to repeat this this the end if you need i can take some pic of me doing it and add it ... orrrr you can take a look at this how-to http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/renew
